Charles and Melvin Clem started 140 Tire Co in 1952 after purchasing their father's service station. 140 was the phone number at that time. Our business has evolved into Clem Tire Co, owned and operated by Tom and Dave Clem. We are the oldest dealership in North Alabama and represent the product lines of Goodyear, Dunlop, and Kelly Springfield. We have stood by the principles set forth by four generations of family to deliver fast and friendly service with integrity. Our name is on our buildings - along with our reputation.
Our ancestors in the early 1900's. Since tires weren't around yet, guess what they did.
In the 60's, they sold appliances and Goodyear tires.
This truck has been restored to replicate our original shop truck. She is retired, but you can still see her at car shows and in parades showing off those white walls.
