Your car’s cooling system works by moving coolant through the engine. This is done in order to reduce the heat that is released through normal use of the engine. That heated coolant then passes through the radiator, where the heat is transferred to the surrounding air. The cooling system must have enough cooling capacity to cool a car. This should be possible even under extreme conditions such as towing or operating in scorching heat. The cooling system is also important as well as maintaining the correct engine operating temperature in extreme cold.
